Cracking WPA Protected Networks With Aircrack-ng

Hi, in this post I am going to talk about how hackers can brute force your Wireless network.

What is WPA?

Wi-Fi Protected Access (WPA) is a security standard for users of computing devices equipped with wireless internet connections. WPA was developed by the Wi-Fi Alliance to provide more sophisticated data encryption and better user authentication than Wired Equivalent Privacy (WEP), the original Wi-Fi security standard.

What Tools Do I need?

  • Kali Linux
  • Aircrack-ng
  • Aireplay-ng
  • Airodump-ng
  • Wireless Networking Adapter (Alfa-AWUS036NHA-Wireless-USB)

Well, I’m afraid for this attack there are no mitigations but the chances of someone cracking your wireless network password is very low that is if your password is very strong and unique.

This is for educational purposes only, do not do this to someone’s network without permission.
